B06 - The Influence of Changing Parameters on Airship Size and Performance

Airship size is dependent on the total weight of structure, propulsionsystem and disposable load. These result from mission requirements of payload, endurance and speed. Further influences are the designer’s choice of propulsion, available materials, structural techniques and the combination of component shape and location to achieve aerodynamic efficiency. Several of these parameters are explored to show the effects of variations and comparable advantages.
